THE EVERYDAY CHALLENGE

SayAble starts
with a real need.

Communication is personal. A useful system needs to make it easier to express a preference, ask a question, or say something unexpected, without letting suggested language decide the message.

Make personally meaningful words and phrases easier to access while leaving every communication choice with the user.

HOW IT COULD WORK

A thoughtful path
through the moment.

This walkthrough illustrates the intended experience. It describes the product direction, not functionality available on this website.

  1. Make the vocabulary personal

The concept would let a person build useful words, pictures, and phrases around their life and communication preferences.

  2. Find a phrase when it matters

Use a communication board or review contextually relevant suggestions. Suggestions should remain optional and easy to change or ignore.

  3. Choose what to communicate

The person selects the message and controls speech output. AI would not independently speak on their behalf.

PLANNED CAPABILITIES

The details
we’re exploring.

  • Provide picture-based communication boards and personalized vocabulary.
  • Suggest contextually relevant phrases for the user to choose.
  • Offer text-to-speech and multilingual communication.
  • Adapt interfaces to motor and cognitive access needs.
  • Explore optional personal voice technology.
  • Support compatible accessibility input methods.

ACCESSIBILITY & CONTROL

Designed around
the person using it.

Motor access, input-method compatibility, board layout, vocabulary, and multilingual support would need to be shaped with AAC users and speech-language professionals.

Privacy, affordability, and user autonomy are shared Biro.dev design principles. Product-specific data practices, supported access methods, and any offline capabilities would be explained before public release.

QUESTIONS ABOUT SAYABLE

A clearer picture.

What does AAC mean?

Augmentative and alternative communication describes ways of supporting or replacing speech. SayAble is a proposed communication tool in that broad area.

Would AI decide what someone means?

No. The direction is optional phrase suggestions, with the user choosing the message. A suggestion must not be treated as a statement of the person’s intent.

Would it work with personal voices or switch access?

Personal voice technology and accessibility input methods are areas to explore. Specific supported technologies and platforms have not been announced.

When can I use SayAble?

SayAble is in early concept development. There is no public release date, price, or supported-platform list yet. The next step is to develop and evaluate the intended experience.
